Ubuntu8 manpages installation
manpages: 使用一个 GNU/Linux 系统的用户帮助页
manpages-dev: Manual pages about using GNU/Linux for development
These man pages describe the Linux programming interface, including these two sections:
- 2 = Linux system calls.
- 3 = Library calls (note that a more comprehensive source of information may be found in the glibc-doc package).
Manpages-??: manpages对应的??语言的翻译版
Manpages-??-dev: manpages-dev对应的??语言的翻译版
For example:
manpages-de-dev: German version
manpages-ja-dev: Japanese version
manpages-fr-dev: French version
POSIX system packages:
- manpages-posix: Manual pages about using POSIX system
- manpages-posix-dev: Manual pages about using a POSIX system for development
In my ubuntu8, the following packages are installed:
sudo apt-get install manpages
sudo apt-get install manpages-dev
sudo apt-get install manpages-posix
sudo apt-get install manpages-posix-dev
sudo apt-get install manpages -zh
