7. No Check In, Check Out
8. No Item Level Permissions
9. No item or field level validation
10. No ability to Export to Excel
11. No ability to Create Visio Diagram
12. No Inline Editing or Datasheet View
13. No ability to Open with Access or Open with Project
14.Cannot use SharePoint Content Types
15.No Managed Metadata columns for ECT
16. Workflows cannot be associated with external lists
17. Cannot create Information Management Policies
18. LINQ to SharePoint spmetal.exe does not support external lists
19. No REST access through ListData.svc to External Lists
