Vinton Gray Cerf简 介 :

 

Vinton Gray Cerf出生于1943年6月23日于美国New Haven, Connecticut(康涅狄格)。

 

Cerf1965年获得斯坦福大学的数学学士学位。毕业后，Cerf短暂的为IBM工作了一段时间。1967年Cerf回到学校-UCLA计算机系，并于1970年和1972年分别获得其硕士和博士学位。在UCLA其间，Cerf参与了ARPANET的研发。

 

1972年，Cerf称为斯坦福大学的教授。不久，Kahn与Cerf开始考虑如何将数据包转换网络互连的问题。1974年，Cerf与Kahn发表了其著名的TCP/IP的文章。
