The Rpc_Binding_Order registry entry is present

The Microsoft® Exchange Server Best Practices Analyzer Tool reads the following registry entry to check for the presence of a client-oriented remote procedure call (RPC) binding order registry entry on the Exchange Server computer:

HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Exchange/Exchange Provider/Rpc_Binding_Order

If the Exchange Server Best Practices Analyzer finds the Rpc_Binding_Order present, a warning is displayed.

If the Rpc_Binding_Order value is present, it indicates that one or more of the following is installed on the computer:

Exchange Server 5.5

Microsoft Office Outlook®

Windows Cluster Service

The RPC_Binding_Order entry determines the protocol sequence that is used when Outlook RPC communications are initiated. This entry is not created in Exchange Server 2003 or in Exchange 2000 Server. This entry is only created in Exchange Server 5.5 and in earlier versions of Exchange If Exchange Server 5.5 and/or Microsoft Outlook were previously installed on this computer and have since been removed, you can manually remove this registry entry.
