Windows Embedded CE offers a rich set of features that you can use to
customize a platform. Component services, networking capabilities, multimedia
support, and many other capabilities are contained within individual operating
system features.

You can choose from a wide range of operating system features through the
catalog items in Platform Builder. You can build a customized operating system
design from a combination of these catalog items. Some catalog items require
that other catalog items be present in your operating system design. Platform
Builder automatically determines dependencies and adds the appropriate
supporting catalog items to your operating system design.
