记得第一次听到这首歌的时候,是在中央人民广播电台的<星星索>节目中,在11点节目结束时,用这首歌来做的尾曲.

在那个一个夜深人静,最适合回首往事,冥想心事的时刻,听这首<When You Believe>,正如在一片幽静的竹林旁,品上一口淡雅的绿茶,显得如此正合时宜.

在歌曲的开始,歌手空灵的歌喉及曲调,仿佛从璀璨的星空飘洒到我们的耳畔.在歌手如细细的倾诉般的歌声中,我们的情绪被慢慢的融化进了整首歌曲的氛围中.渐渐的,歌曲的曲调婉转而上,在”There can be miracles , when you believe” 的歌咏中,整首歌曲的情感调动达到了最高点.最后,歌曲如小溪的静静流淌一般,让我们在一种平静而恬静的心境中结束了全曲的颀赏.

此曲由歌坛两位天后级的歌手Whitney Houston(惠特尼.休斯顿)和Mariah Carey(玛利亚.凯丽)共同演绎,加上曾创作<Colors of the wind>的Stephen Schwartz编曲,成就了这样一曲天赖之音.此曲也是史诗动画大片<Prince of Egypt>的主题曲,获得了第71届奥斯卡最佳原创音乐奖.

Whitney Houston是我非常颀常的国外歌手,她的声音富有磁性,歌喉圆润,饱满,每首歌曲都透射着一种让人无法抗拒的真实情感.除了这首<When You Believe>外,她还演唱过<I will always love>,<The greatest love of all>以及<I have nothing>等脍炙人口的佳曲,每首歌都无不饱含深情,动彻心扉.
