最近在研究J2EE集群，涉及到了JINI技术。

JINI已经被Apache接管，在Apache上的解释是
Jini is a service oriented architecture that defines a programming model
which both exploits and extends Java technology to enable the
construction of secure, distributed systems consisting of federations of
services and clients. Jini technology can be used to build adaptive
network systems that are scalable, evolvable and flexible as typically
required in dynamic computing environments.

JINI是一种面向服务的架构。它通过运用并且扩展Java技术定义了一种编程模型，从而使得JINI有能力构建一个安全的、分布式的系统。这个系统由联盟服务和客户端所组成。

我的理解：JINI是由Java技术构建的，在分布式环境中动态共享资源的一种编程模型
